''Phyllonorycter connexella'' is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is found from Fennoscandia to the Pyrenees and Italy and from France to central Russia and Ukraine. The larvae feed on ''Populus alba'', ''Populus x canadensis'', ''Populus nigra'', ''Populus nigra cv. Italica'', ''Salix alba'', ''Salix fragilis'', ''Salix pentandra'' and ''Salix purpurea''. They mine the leaves of their host plant. They create a lower-surface tentiform mine, usually between two side veins. There is one strong lengthwise fold. The pupa is made in a cocoon. The frass is incorporated in the sides of the cocoon.〔(bladmineerders.nl )〕 ==References==
